Termsof Use

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GLBKit (www.glbkit.com), including its website, browser-based 3D tools, model processing features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using GLBKit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GLBKit. If you are under the age of 18, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the Service with the involvement or supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

By using GLBKit, you represent that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements for using the Service.

Use of GLBKit

GLBKit provides browser-based tools for working with supported 3D model files. The tools let you view models, inspect their geometry, materials and textures, analyze model statistics, capture screenshots or thumbnails, and convert a supported file into another supported format. The exact set of tools available depends on the format and the operation being performed.

GLBKit requires no account and no payment. You may use it for lawful personal, educational, professional, and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable laws.

Features, tools, supported formats, and functionality may be added, changed, limited, or removed as the Service develops.

How Your Files Are Processed

GLBKit processes the files you select on your own device, in your own web browser. The file is read and rendered locally, and any converted file, screenshot, or thumbnail is produced there for you to save.

GLBKit does not upload your 3D model files to a processing server, and it does not store a copy of them. Nothing you open is retained by GLBKit once you close or reload the page. You are responsible for saving any result you want to keep.

Throughout these Terms, words such as "upload”, "submit”, and "provide” describe selecting or handing a file to a tool in your browser. They do not mean that the file is transmitted to or stored by GLBKit.

If a file you select refers to an external resource, for example a glTF file whose .bin buffer or texture images live on another server, your browser fetches those referenced assets from that server. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Supported 3D Files

GLBKit supports selected 3D model formats depending on the specific tool being used. The format converter reads GLB, glTF, OBJ, FBX, STL, PLY, 3MF and OFF files, and also accepts a ZIP archive containing a model together with its companion files. The viewers additionally open USD, DAE, X3D, VRML, VRM, STEP, PCD, LAS and LAZ files. Support can vary by tool, and the formats listed for each tool page are the ones that tool accepts.

Not every combination is offered. The converter exports to GLB, glTF, OBJ, FBX, STL, PLY, 3MF and OFF, and the targets available to you depend on the source format you select. For example, PLY point-cloud sources convert to a narrower set of targets than mesh sources do. USD, STEP, PCD, LAS and LAZ files are viewer-only and are not offered as conversion targets.

File compatibility may vary depending on the structure of the model, geometry, materials, textures, scenes, metadata, and other characteristics of the uploaded file.

Conversion and Rendering Limitations

3D formats do not carry the same information. Some formats cannot express materials, textures, animation, hierarchy, or units that another format supports. Converting a file may therefore lose, simplify, or reinterpret parts of the original model, and a converted file may not look identical to the source when opened in another application.

We do not guarantee that every file will load correctly, that every scene or material will render as authored, or that every property of a source file will be preserved during processing, conversion, analysis, capture, or export.

Rendering also depends on your browser and graphics hardware. A model that appears correctly on one device may be slow, incomplete, or incorrect on another. Keep your original file rather than relying on a converted copy.

User Files and Content

You retain ownership of the 3D models, textures, images, configurations, and other content that you provide through GLBKit, subject to any rights or licenses that already apply to that content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and licenses to use the files you provide to the Service.

Models, textures, and other assets are often obtained from third parties, such as marketplaces, asset libraries, or other users. Using such a file does not transfer or create any licence in it. Those third-party terms, and not these Terms, govern your use of that file, and you are responsible for complying with them.

You must not use GLBKit to process content in a way that violates applicable laws or the rights of another person or organization.

Prohibited Content and Conduct

You must not use GLBKit to load, process, convert, capture, or distribute content that:

  • infringes copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights of another person or organization;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law;
  • promotes violence, hatred, discrimination, or illegal activity;
  • contains malware, viruses, malicious code, or other harmful software; or
  • violates the privacy or publicity rights of another person.

We may restrict access to features or the Service when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, violations of these Terms, or other circumstances permitted by applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use GLBKit responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

You must not intentionally interfere with the operation, availability, security, or performance of the website or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, services, accounts, or data.

You must not use automated, abusive, or excessive activity in a way that disrupts the Service or places unreasonable load on its infrastructure.

Intellectual Property

The GLBKit name, branding, website design, original content, software, interfaces, and other proprietary materials are owned by GLBKit or their respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.

You may use the website and its tools as intended, but you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, modify, or create derivative versions of proprietary website materials or software without appropriate authorization.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of your own 3D models, textures, images, or other content to GLBKit.

Third-Party Services

GLBKit may use third-party services for purposes such as hosting, analytics, security, advertising, performance monitoring, and other website functionality.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. GLBKit is not responsible for the independent practices, availability, or content of third-party services.

Disclaimer

GLBKit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that the website, tools, model processing, previews, conversions, analysis, screenshots, or exports will always be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, or compatible with every file.

Since files are handled on your device and are not held by GLBKit, you should keep your own copies of important source files and of any result you want to keep. Clearing your browser storage or closing the page removes the current working state of the tools.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GLBKit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the website or the Service.

This may include, where permitted by applicable law, loss of data, files, business opportunities, revenue, or other indirect losses resulting from the use of or inability to use the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of GLBKit and its operators for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service, which is currently nothing.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GLBKit and its operators from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, content you provide to it, or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Service Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue parts of GLBKit at any time.

We may also change individual tools, supported file formats, processing capabilities, export capabilities, or other functionality as the product evolves.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or any particular feature.

Suspension or Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the website or parts of the Service when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, violations of these Terms, or other circumstances permitted by applicable law.

These Terms do not limit any rights or remedies that may be available under applicable law.

Applicable Law

These Terms are subject to applicable laws and regulations. Disputes relating to the Service or these Terms will be handled in accordance with applicable law and by a court or other authority having jurisdiction over the matter.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of GLBKit after an updated version is published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
